FAQS

Preparation

Treatments focus on your upper body, head, neck and scalp. Please come, as you are, without make up in order to allow more treatment time. Oils will be used during our treatment, so it is encouraged to wash your hair afterwards instead of before your appointment.

Drinking an adequate amount of water before a massage also allows the hydrated tissues and fascia to be manipulated easier.

Contraindications

Although the treatment is non-invasive, there are a number of contraindications that might mean the treatment isn’t suitable for you.

These include (but aren’t limited to):
- Pregnancy; first and third trimester
- Recent Botox or filler injections in the last 6 weeks
- Mesothreads or threadlifting (please wait at least 6 months post procedure)
- Neurological conditions eg epilepsy, stroke
- Cardiovascular conditions
- Tumors and Cancers
- Thyroid or lymphatic conditions
- Severe mental or behavioral disorders (schizophrenia, psychosis )
- Skin inflammation

If unsure, please contact me so I can determine if a doctor or specialist approval is advised before having the treatment.

Post session care

Each treatment allows for many changes and shifts within the body. These rhythmic, repetitive massage movements help to sedate our sympathetic nervous system. In doing so, this also circulates stored emotions and although you should leave feeling relaxed and lighter after a treatment, you could also notice unexpected feelings surface.

Allow yourself time to feel and process these changes. I recommend adequate hydration, intuitive movement and magnesium soaks and sprays to support the body and contribute to a deeper sense of relaxation, healing, and overall well-being.
